Electrical Engineer Manager/Vice President

Requirements:
- Must have worked in MEP Consulting Engineering Firm and be able to supply references.
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering 
- Licensed Electrical Engineer with the ability to obtain additional state licenses. 
- 15 years experience in the design of complex electrical systems. 
- LEED accreditation a bonus. 
- Leadership skills in mentoring young engineers, and working well in a team-based environment. 
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Position Summary:
This position is a design, supervision and production position that involves all aspects of the design and construction administration responsibilities associated with a project. The applicant must possess the following abilities: 
- Positive, optimistic outlook.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable national and local building codes.
- Communicates well with clients and staff.
- Manages and coordinates all aspects of a project.
- Supervises and directs department staff assisting on projects. 
- Proficient in the design of the most complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

Business Development
- Advises team of any project and client leads and assist in follow up.
- Represents ESD in marketing presentations and interviews as a technical expert. 
- Represents ESD in a professional manner at all project meetings and inspections. 
- Stays abreast of current technology and design standard. 
- Engages in community functions deemed appropriate to the firm’s interest.

Technical
- Responsible for the production and accuracy of the project design documents.
- Present plausible engineering system alternatives for the project to client for review and determination of which system should be utilized on the project.
- Oversee production of working design documents based upon directives and established project design guidelines as developed during project scope meetings with the client. 
 - Provide coordination information to each member of the design team. 
- Ensure that projects are completed within budgeted hours. 
- Represent ESD at project related meetings and inspections. 
- Review all project related construction administrative items (shop drawings, RFI’s, change order proposals). 
- Conduct site inspections and prepare field reports of projects at interv
