Mo Ardebili is the founder of ESD. Since its inception in 1988, Mo focused on the field of energy and the benefits to both the client and the environment. As the first ASHRAE Certified CPMP (Commissioning Process Management Professional) in Arizona, he continues to be a pioneer in total building solutions. Mo continues to provide visionary leadership for the firm. For over 35 years, Mo's special expertise in designing complicated mechanical systems has been sought by clients. The passion for design excellence is built upon a client-focused approach, a requirement that Mo defines as becoming a "Client Advocate" -- defending the client's interests throughout the project.

Mo received a mechanical engineering degree from Iowa State University. As early as junior high, Mo knew that he would work and create in the field of mechanical engineering. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, boating in the bay and sharing free time with his grandchildren.

Monte Sturdevant, PE

Monte Sturdevant has over 30 years of experience designing and managing a wide variety of mechanical systems for public and private clients. As President of ESD, Monte leads the strategic direction of the firm. Monte's mantra of finding a "win-win" solution has sustained long-term client relationships. As a natural consensus builder, he expertly cultivates design teams. Monte's CEM (Certified Energy Manager) designation plays a key role in reaching our green design goals.

Monte graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and skiing.

Tom Valentino, PE

PRINCIPAL

Tom Valentino has more than 45 years of engineering experience and embodies the definition of a renaissance man — one who has broad intellectual interests and is accomplished in areas of both the arts and the sciences. As a mentor for the mechanical design team, Tom promotes forward thinking and strategic evaluation of system options and alternatives. His wisdom and attentive project management approach supports the organizational values. Tom champions our green building design and LEED certification efforts. He also specializes in utility company requirements and rebates.

Tom is a graduate from Cleveland State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is a world traveler holding a special bond with the Italian countryside.

Ron Korte, PE

PRINCIPAL

Ron Korte has more than 30 years of experience in accurate and compliant electrical engineering design for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. He began his professional engineering career designing electrical power and control systems for nuclear facilities after 10 years of field experience as an electrician. Ron is a hands-on leader that manages the Electrical Department collaborating closely with the Mechanical/Plumbing Department to create innovative and fully functional design solutions. As Principal, Ron is a hands-on leader who collaborates closely with the Electrical Department and Mechanical/Plumbing Department to create innovative and fully functional design solutions. Our team and our clients rely heavily on his expert understanding of electrical systems.

Ron graduated with an electrical engineering degree from Iowa State University. He enjoys traveling, hiking, backpacking and snorkeling in the ocean.
